I think grapple should be nerfed. It makes games drag on for a long time and makes you have to get your opponents to over 100% (this is because the best kb ability is mostly useless against it)on some maps for example the tree map. It also makes games that are on large maps go into dm over 80% of the time What is the mindset behind this suggestion? I only use cyclone and it is awful against grapple. It might not be op but from my POV it is Is there anything else that you would like to add? i would add a little cooldown like 1 secs so that people can't keep spamming it under islands waiting for their cloak/ other recoveries to refresh. or it could have a longer cooldown each time you use it in like 30 secs so the first time it would come back instantly then 0.5 seconds then 1 and so on this would allow for people to still clutch with it but stop the from stalling under islands with it
I don’t think Grapple needs a nerf because it already uses Mana so you can’t use it more than 3 times before needing more Mana. I also don’t think it needs a nerf because of how hard it is to pull off a save with it.

I might reconsider previous changes made to Grapple and instead focus on changing its internal workings. The largest issue with grapple (and hook) is that any velocity based spells have no impact on players currently grappling. This is also often the cause of players being able to recover freely and causes near complete protection from velocity spells such as Cyclone or Gravitas. By making velocity based spells snap grapple lines, we should see more balanced and predictible strategies. Since my previous point can be considered a nerf to grapple, I'll revise the mana cost and bring it back down as compensation. Ultimately our vision for grapple is to facilitate fast long-distance travel and edge-case recoveries, and spamming grapple to stay out of the void is not part of that.
